2023/24 MUST Selection list

The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce names of candidates who have been selected under generic category to pursue various undergraduate degree programmes at the University for the 2023/24 academic year. In all, 613 candidates have been selected and of these, 422 (69%) are males and 191 (31%) females. The University has also released names of candidates selected into the 3rd Cohort of the Master of Science in Biodiversity Informatics.

Selection of the undergraduate candidates was done on merit as per the Malawi Government policy of admitting students into public higher education institutions. Affirmative action on gender and disability was also considered. Candidate choices and the pre-defined combination of subjects required for each programme was also taken into consideration during the selection process.

The public is further advised that all students were selected on self-sponsored non-residential basis in line with the Malawi Government Policy. Tuition fees

for undergraduate students is K650,000 per annum payable per semester while accommodation fees is K160,000 per year. For postgraduate students, the fees is US$5,000 (or Malawi Kwacha equivalent) per academic year. However, fees are subject to change any time. Opening dates for the 2023/24 academic year will be communicated in due course.
