She made the advice last evening, 1 June 2024, during the station’s get together held at St Francis Catholic Parish Hall in the area. Msonkho noted that when officers unite and love one another, it is easy to share ideas on how to combat crime.

“I wish to urge you to love one another because it is only then that we can make this area safe and secure. Avoid insulting one another regardless of issues you may have against your friends and instead, I urge you to sort out issues amicably,” she advised.

On social media, Deputy Commissioner Msonkho said although it is helpful, if misused, social media can have a negative impact on police work. She therefore, said officers should avoid sharing classified information on social media platforms such as WhatsApp or Facebook warning she will punish anyone found doing so.

“We have been in good relationship for a long time now and inviting me to this get together is another big testimony of this good relationship. My appeal is that this state of affairs should continue because it is for the benefit of the community,” he said.
