Chakwera inspects Mpatsa Primary School devastation

President Lazarus Chakwera on Wednesday visited Mpatsa Primary School temporary structures in Nsanje district.

The school relocated due to the devastation caused by the effects of Tropical Cyclone Freddy.

“Learners are facing challenges including lack of teaching and learning materials because they were all washed away during Cyclone Freddy,” said the legislator

Chakwera also visited the old Mpatsa Primary School which was buried in the sand and also presided over the groundbreaking ceremony of the construction of the new school.

The President has fulfilled several engagements in Nsanje district which include welcoming of an inaugural train hauling 1.2 million litres of petroleum products from Beira in Mozambique and inspection of a newly constructed TB Ward at the district hospital.
