The first half of the game ended goalless while Bullets tried to have an edge over Silver Strikers as they found a highway at the left flank of the bankers.

The made some entertaining moments to spectators as both sides be played relatively well with Silver Strikers tried to create few chances but at the end of it all the two teams settled for a draw.

Patrick Mwaungulu scored the first goal of the game for Maule from Enerst Petro’s pass in 58 minutes of the game when the silver strikers were trying to settle the match, at 75 minutes of the game Patrick Macheso scored from Idana’s free kick to equalize the game.

In a post-match interview with the people’s team Head Coach, Kalisto Pasuwa expressed gratitude over the win saying although the players showed some fatigue, they tried to manage the game.

“This is one of the seasons that we got so many injuries but the main secret dwelled much on giving everyone a chance to play, I can say the bond between me and the players had resulted in such success,” said Pasuwa.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets were the 2023 TNM Super League champions with 60 points after 16 games of winning and 30 goals ahead of the bankers who ranked in position 2 with 57 points and 23 goals.

Assistant coach for Silver Strikers, Peter Ngangira said they were not satisfied as their team wanted to win the league, not cups.

“We have to prepare well if we are to win next season and we notice a lot of problems such that we need to focus on the problems for us to be the champion. It was indeed a perfect game as both teams played well though it ended in favor of our opponents, thus how football goes,” said Ngangira.
