Sams Procurement Services which also own Kabula Filling Station, on Friday witnessed another opening of a fuel selling point, Puma Sam Singh Filling Station along Hannover Street in the Blantyre CBD where more than 25 people are expected to be employed to offer services.

Opening the new filling station, Puma Energy Africa, Chief Operation Officer, Ben Quattara says the company is on an expansion drive to open more filling stations in the country while creating jobs for Malawians.
Quattara made the remarks on Friday evening during the official opening of the Puma Sam Singh Filling Station situated along Hannover Street near Anti-Corruption Bureau Offices in Blantyre.
He said that the company has taken a commercial aggressive drive to grow in ensuring wider sustainable investment and job creation.
“From Puma, you should expect more investments, what we are trying to do is to create a destination for our customers to make sure that we optimize our sites so that it is not only a fuel service station but a service station that offers different services,” said Quattara.
He said that the new station, would have a quick service restaurant, a mini supermarket, a washing bay, and quick lubricants oil change which come with investments which are also in line with the strategy of Puma to provide a one-stop shop for the customers.
In his remarks, the Director of Sams Procurement Services which owns and runs Kabula Filling Station and the newly opened Puma Filling Station, Sam Singh said that the station expects to employ more than 25 people.
He said that among others, the station has a modern car wash operated by professionals, dry cleaning services, a TNM and Airtel shop where people can top up airtime and do other transactions anytime, a food express kitchen that will be serving food throughout the week and a playground to allow parents to bring their children and have a good time.
Press Corporation Limited (PCL), Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Ronald Mangani said that PCL owns 50 percent of Puma Energy Africa shares in Malawi.
He said PCL was excited to be associated with such investments with a huge impact on domestic economy.
He said: “We are expanding all over, this year alone we have expanded into several places and we are looking at opening other four filling stations at the end of the year and the other two filling stations by January,”
