Baka City post first win of the season

League anchors and debutantes, Baka City Saturday have posted their first win by using home advantage to move one step up after beating Bangwe All Starts 2-0 at Karonga Stadium in TNM Super league encounter in week 11.

With the win, Baka are now position 15 with seven points from 11 games and Chitipa United have dropped to position 16 from 15 to anchor the log table before their next fixture on Sunday.

Coming from a 0-0 draw against second placed Kamuzu Barracks, Baka City, Kondwani Mwalweni was very confident that his charges will post their first win over struggling Bangwe All Stars of Rodgers Yasini before capacity crowd.

The Debutantes have drawn four times and lost six times while Bangwe are still in the relegation zone with seven points from the same number of games played but have better goal difference.

Defending champions, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are slowing drifting away from the crown as they suffered another setback when they were held to 0-0 draw against determined Kamuzu Barracks at Civo Stadium in Area 9 in Lilongwe.

The encounter which was full of scoring chance but wastefulness was the order of the day characterized by poor passes for both sides.
