Community members reaffirm their commitment in supporting police

Sons and daughters of Area 25 in Kanengo, Lilongwe, a grouping of citizens born or staying in the area, has reiterated its commitment in working with the police.

One of the group’s founding members, Anjiru Hadgi, has said this today, 25 May 2024 after the group undertook a cleaning exercise at the station’s premises. Hadgi said the group decided to do this as part of its corporate social responsibility.

“We are the community and we know that being the community, we cannot stand on our own because there are times when we need the police or indeed, the police needs us too. In fact, we also do this type of exercise in other institutions such as hospitals as well as schools,” she said.
