Speaking at the event, the High Commissioner to Tanzania, Andrew Kumwenda encouraged unity among Malawians and urged them to continue investing back home.

“Let’s always do things together. Remember, unity is important. Let’s also not forget to invest much in our development projects back home. This is how we can develop Malawi,” said the High Commissioner.

On their part, Wikise and Pop Young thanked Malawi High Commission and Vodacom for the event.

“Thank you so much to all Malawians living in Tanzania for trusting us to entertain people at the Malawi Cultural Day event in Dar es Salaam.

“I actually never believed it when I received the request to be the main act at the event.

“Mwinatu timadziyang’anira pansi koma is mostly because corporate events have certain people who are prioritized.
