HiFi Electronics boosts Mafunyeta Memorial show

The organisers of highly anticipated late Mafunyeta Memorial Show have announced that they have partnered with the country’s leading provider of musical instruments and professional audio equipment HiFi Electronics ahead of the show.

The show which will take place on 18th August at Area 18 National Memorial tower in Lilongwe aims to remember the legacy of the late reggae dancehall artist Patrick Magalasi (Mafunyeta).

Among others, the Mafunyeta Memorial show will raise awareness on mental, reproductive health and technology among the youth and adults in Lilongwe.

HiFi Electronics Director of Events Blessed Adam said they are honoured to support the event which will help the youth talk on issues of mental health awareness using artistic expression, stating it is in line with their company’s mission.

“We’re proud to support Mafunyeta Memorial show, our contribution aims to ensure that the event resonates powerfully with attendees and fosters a deeper understanding and dialogue around mental health issues,” said Adam.

Mafunyeta Memorial show Organiser Chairman Yanja Chigamba applauded HiFi Electronics for the gesture saying this is a significant boost for them as they were looking for that kind of equipment .

Chigamba added that the support from HiFi Electronics is crucial in realising the vision of an impactful and transformative event that honours Mafunyeta’s legacy and promotes mental well-being.

Apart from HiFi Electronics, they have also partnered with UNC Project, Itel, YouthWave and family Health Services.

The Memorial show is one of the biggest annual urban music happenings that aim to celebrate the fallen artist who died of asthma on 11th August, 2013.
