Management and staff of Nyasa Engineering Company Limited recently gathered at one place to celebrate and commemorate the birth of their Chief Executive Officer, Peter Ngwira.
The occasion served as a testament to Ngwira’s outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the company’s successful projects.
A recently released report has described Peter Ngwira as a true innovator and a certified entrepreneur.
With more than four years of extensive experience in various fields of engineering and project management, Ngwira holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree, underlining his commitment to excellence.
“Ngwira has mentored exhibitors in the Malawi Innovators Design competition (MIDC) and He has been among the participants more than twice in Energy projects,” reads the report.
According to the report, Peter Ngwira’s impressive track record extends to several award-winning projects, showcasing his dedication to excellence.
In 2018, he led the “RENE – Regurgitation of Natural Energy” project, which clinched victory in the Malawi Innovators Design Competition under the RICE 360 category.
In 2019, Ngwira achieved certification in Automated Irrigation Systems through the Agricultural Transformation Initiative (ATI) BOOTCAMP. This project earned recognition in the Junior Scholar Innovations category, being published in Graduate Info-PAD on November 5th.
The year 2020 saw Ngwira excel with the “Ultra Power Supply (UPS)” project, which triumphed in both the Malawi Innovators Design Competition and the Graduate Innovation Challenge under the MUST Institute of Innovation and Industrial Research (MIIR). He also completed business entrepreneurship training sponsored by the Social Enterprise Academy, under the patronage of SEA Scotland.
In 2021, Peter Ngwira was honored as an awardee at the 2021 Innovation Summit, a collaboration between Standard Bank, the Center for Agriculture Transformation (CAT), and MUST Entrepreneurship Academy, focusing on the Transformation of Agricultural Systems.
The year 2022 brought more accolades, as Ngwira’s “E-Health Best Project” received recognition at the 2022 ICTAM & National Bank Innovation Summit. He expanded his skill set by becoming certified in Human-Centered Design (HCD), Business Canvas, Business Strategy, Pitching, and Deal Structuring.
Peter Ngwira continued his streak of excellence into 2023, as he secured the “Best Project” award under the African Science, Technology, and Innovation Forum, specifically in the context of Water and Innovation Call – BISO 360. This project was developed as a subsidiary for High IMPEL Energy Company LTD and earned him the coveted position of Number 1.
