Old Mutual Malawi donates K5m to ICAM Annual Conference

Old Mutual Malawi has donated K5 million towards preparations for the 2023 Institute for Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM) Lakeshore Conference to be held on 14th to 16th September, 2023, at Sun and Sand Hotel. 

Speaking when he presented a dummy cheque in Lilongwe, Head of Property Services at MPICO Plc, Elliot Jambo, said Old Mutual Malawi believes in the power of collaboration and shared value.

Jambo said that is why the firm has been committed to building sustainable partnerships with various stakeholders, including professional bodies such as ICAM.

Year after year the annual Lake conference brings together some of the finest minds in the fields, facilitating insightful discussions, exchanging ideas and paving the way for innovation in finance. Our decision to sponsor this event is not just about a financial contribution; it is a testament to our belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of investing in the future of accounting,” he said.

ICAM president Moffat Ngalande Old Mutual Malawi for the donation, saying it had come at a good time as preparations are at an advanced stage.

Ngalande emphasized the need to build partnerships in order to achieve economic development and making sure that Malawi is moving at a faster pace towards the Malawi 2063 development aspirations.

The Annual Lakeshore Conference will be held under the theme: “Creating Value, Building a Sustainable Economy- Towards Malawi 2063”.
