Police arrest two, recover property

Police in Kanengo, Lilongwe have arrested two suspects in connection to some robberies in the area.

The two have been identified as Shukulani Mussa, 20 and Tonny Junior Juma, 22.

The two are suspected to have been terrorising Area 25B and surrounding areas where they attacked people and stole assorted items.

Yesterday, 19 June 2024, the law enforcers received a tip that the two were seen somewhere spending money recklessly. Working on this tip, Police made a follow up during which they arrested the two and recovered the items which include a 42-inch Samsung plasma TV, 32-inch Sonny plasma TV, one amplifier and a Toshiba external hard driver, among others.

Mussa hails from Kumwembe Village, Traditional Authority Tambala in Dedza while Juma hails from Mzondo Village, Traditional Authority Chitukula in Lilongwe.

The two are expected to appear before court as soon as further investigations are through.

The Police remain grateful for the support they receive from members of the community in fighting crime and believe that this will continue for the common good.
