After talks stalled between the two parties last week and reports of Chester wanting K7.5 million as a signing-on fee and a monthly salary of K800,000 surfaced, negotiations resumed this week with both sides coming to an agreement.
Clement Stambuli, spokesperson for Wanderers allegedly refused to confirm nor deny the development while Gift Mkandawire, Chester’s local representative asserted he was still under contract with the team.
“We made offers to five players, including Chester, and four players accepted instantly. Let me check with colleagues if the player has accepted it,” Stambuli said.
The player is expected to sign new terms until 2027 which he confirmed as discussions were still ongoing.
