Karonga United lead the first half of the game with a five minutes rebound goal scored by Gabinho Daud after Richard Chipuwa saved a powerful free kick from Josiah Duwa.

Later on, Christopher Kumwembe scored an equalizing goal at 55 minutes which was followed by a winning goal at 82 minutes of the game making it 2-1

In a post-match interview,Wanderers Head Coach, Mark Harrison expressed satisfactory saying they would make sure they maintain rhythm so that they secure points in their next game with Silver Strikers at Bingu National Stadium.

“Improved results is just a start up, as a team we took a deflection of the war as today’s game was so important to us as our aim is to be champions of this season,”  he said.

Coach for Karonga United, Trevor Kajawa said it was a game of two half as they lead the first half after being defeated in the second half.

He promised to improve their performance on next match.

“The team tried its very best and it’s very painful to be defeated after leading the first half of the game and thereafter endure a disappointing performance in second half of the game,” Kajawa added.

Following the results, Wanderers are on position one with 40 points, Chitipa United are second with 39 points while FCB Nyasa Big Bullets are third with 37 points.
