Apostle Clifford Kawinga aids hunger stricken households in Mchinji

Salvation for All Ministries International led by Apostle Clifford Kawinga hosted a crusade in Mchinji at Zulu Primary School Ground.

Through the outreach, Bibles were given to 51 chiefs who were in attendance and its part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to uplift communities both spiritually and materially.

Besides winning souls, the man of God took time off to donate maize, food supplies and drinks to over 4,000 beneficiaries gathered at the ground.

Visibly excited with the donation, a beneficiary Gabina Ignasiyo described the hunger situation in the district as very serious.

“I pray that God should bless the hand that has rendered this support and to grant him long life so that he continues with the good deeds.”

Traditional Authority Zulu of Mchinji hailed the Ministry of Salvation for coming to their rescue and for the good news which was preached by Pastor Kawinga

The traditional leader indicated that they are proud of the preacher who is also a son of the soil, for the food aid and the teaching of the gospel.

Zulu said it is his prayer that God grants the Apostle long life so that he continues assisting more people.

“In this area of T/A Zulu, the hunger situation has hit us hard and came about due to the intense heat wave which we experienced last year hence the maize crop did not do well and there is also the problem of malnutrition with some children dying from hunger. This has prompted people to be cooking mangoes as food.

“Unfortunately with the intense heat, the mangoes have gotten ripe quickly posing a big food security threat. Therefore the help from Pastor Kawinga is very timely and we hope other people and organisations will follow suit with more food assistance” said the traditional leader.

He cautioned other chiefs not to take advantage of the problem by engaging in corrupt practices and snatching the maize from their subjects.

Kawinga an entrepreneur explained that he was touched by how Mchinji has been hit by hunger which isn’t normally the case as the district is usually a food basket.

In an interview after the crusade, he pointed out that chiefs from the district visited him to ask for his assistance hence his coming to distribute food and Bibles to win more souls to God.

“We’ve tackled the spiritual being, the person that will sustain these people in the long run. Indeed we’ve also donated some relief items to fill the gap the hunger issue. We’ve donated today 4,250 bags to the beneficiaries to the people because this country a lot of people are going through hunger. “It’s very strange for Mchinji district but trust me if you come and see how these people are; you feel sorry as they’re surviving on mangoes, but now the mangoes are going towards the end that’s exactly what we’ve done to come and cheer them up especially in this month of December.

We believe that love should lead as we’re celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot see our brothers and sisters dying with hunger”

The Salvation for All Ministries International Founder noted that oftentimes when giving especially to the needy, it shouldn’t always be one’s relatives but the hunger situation has prompted him to help the people home.

“The judgment becomes different; some of the people think you’re coming for political desire so we prefer that the Minister of God should be appreciated in a normal manner. But hearing their requests and also seeing the status of my brothers and sisters here, we thought that this is really the right time.

“I believe God’s time is always the best. This time around God has allowed us to come in Mchinji which is also my own district. I’m proud of that”

He also disclosed plans by his Ministry’s to hold a Mega Overnight Crusade this month end.
