  • 2023/24 MUST Selection list

    The Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) is pleased to announce names of candidates who have been selected under generic category to pursue various undergraduate degree programmes at the University for the 2023/24 academic year. In all, 613 candidates have been selected and of these, 422 (69%) are males and 191 (31%) females. The University has also released names of candidates selected into the 3rd Cohort of the Master of Science in Biodiversity Informatics.

    Selection of the undergraduate candidates was done on merit as per the Malawi Government policy of admitting students into public higher education institutions. Affirmative action on gender and disability was also considered. Candidate choices and the pre-defined combination of subjects required for each programme was also taken into consideration during the selection process.

    The public is further advised that all students were selected on self-sponsored non-residential basis in line with the Malawi Government Policy. Tuition fees

    for undergraduate students is K650,000 per annum payable per semester while accommodation fees is K160,000 per year. For postgraduate students, the fees is US$5,000 (or Malawi Kwacha equivalent) per academic year. However, fees are subject to change any time. Opening dates for the 2023/24 academic year will be communicated in due course.

  • MZUNI 2022/23 Intake For Generic Undergraduate Programmes

    Mzuzu University (MZUNI) Council is pleased to announce the selection of 1,386 (640 females and 746 males) generic candidates through the harmonised public university selection process coordinated by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. The candidates will report for studies on 22nd January 2024.

  • 2023/24 MUBAS Generic selection list

    At its Meeting held on 12th July, 2023, Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) Council approved admission of 1,779 candidates into the various programmes of the University.

    The MUBAS Council and Management would like to congratulate all candidates who have been admitted into its dynamic undergraduate programmes and wish them the best.

  • 2023/24 UNIMA Generic Selection list

    Council of the University of Malawi (UNIMA) on Tuesday, 11th July, 2023 approved names of candidates who have been admitted into the University to pursue various generic programmes for the 2023/2024 academic year on a non-residential basis.

    The University wishes to inform the general public that the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), under the coordination of the Technical Working Group (TWG) deriving its membership from all public universities, called for applications from candidates to various programmes in all public universities including the University of Malawi.

    Out of the 8,520 selected candidates, UNIMA has selected 2,090 candidates representing 24.44% of the combined total of all candidates selected by all public universities in Malawi.

    The University further wishes to advise the selected candidates and the general public that opening arrangements for the 2023/2024 academic year shall be announced in due course. The names of candidates admitted to the University of Malawi are as follows:

  • KUHES 2023/24 Academic year for undergraduate programmes

    Kamuzu University of Health Sciences Council is pleased to announce the names of candidates who have been selected to various undergraduate degree programmes offered by the University for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The candidates fulfilled all the requirements for admission to the respective programmes and were selected based on merit. The total number of students selected is 742 comprising of 345 Males (46.5%) and 397 Females (53.5%). This also includes 15 International Students.

    The Council congratulates all the successful candidates. Commencement dates for the Academic Year, shall be announced in due course.
