Chakwera received the award during the opening ceremony of a two-day Global Leadership Summit underway in Lilongwe at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.

The Malawi leader continues to earn global admiration for his open stance against corruption, which has seen him getting rid of top government officials and close associates whenever they are found mired in corrupt practices.
Under his tutelage, President Chakwera has enhanced the capacity of state agencies mandated to find corruption such as the Judiciary, Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP), among others.
These institutions have been capacitated with financial, human and operational resources to make them effective.
