After clinching the deal with Zanaco FC Media, Kaonga said he is happy to have joined the team and will quickly adapt to the team’s playing style.

“I am happy to be here. I have trained with the team for two weeks now and the style of play isn’t hard for me. I have already started settling in,” Kaonga told Zanaco FC Media.

On his part, Zanaco Chief Executive Officer Modest Hamalabbi expressed optimism that Kaonga will add value to the team.

“We are certain that Kaonga will add value to the club. He will strengthen the striking squad which we have been lacking and we are certain that Kaonga is a good addition,” he said.

Zanaco is currently in position 6 of the 2022/23 MTN Super league with 31 points from 21 games

Kaonga scored 12 goals in the TNM Super League in the just-ended season.

The striker had stints with Mozambican side Costa do Sol and South African club TS Sporting.
