Flash floods have hit several areas in traditional authorities (TA) Lundu and Ngabu in Chikwawa where several households have been affected following two days rains in the district.

Chikwawa Disaster Risk Management Officer, Charity Machika, said two days of rainfall triggered the flooding, with already high water levels in the Shire River worsening the situation.
