Likuni SDA  District church officers challenged to discharge their duties deligentlty

Matekenya made the remarks at Kakule SDA church in Traditional Authority Mbwatalika in Lilongwe during a general  Church Workers workshop organized to equip newly elected Church officers with knowledge and skills for managing their churches.

He urged the officers to uphold the purpose of the Seventh-day Adventist Church by focusing on the enhancement of preaching in order to achieve the church’s evangelistic mission of preaching the gospel to the whole world.

” Am encouraging church officers to develop a positive attitude towards the promotion and good working relationships within church departments that would help achieve meaningful and Sustainable evangelism,” he explained.

In his remarks, Likuni church  Elder  Ramsey Chokani said the workshop was crucial in imparting knowledge and skills for officers to effectively manage their churches well at all levels.

“As church leaders, we will use the knowledge and skills learned to make sure that all Church members adhere to the fundamentals of the SDA church to make sure Church Departments are working collaboratively to achieve the goal of winning souls,” he said.

In an interview on the sidelines of the workshop, Agnes Chisemphere of  Kakule SDA church who is also District Dorcas vice President said the workshop has come at the right time when newly elected Church officers were facing challenges in discharging their duties diligently.

“We thank the District Pastor for organizing the workshop because it will help improve our working relationships within the church Departments to effectively achieve the church’s purpose of evangelism,” she said.
