A 33 year old man was found dead  on Saturday at one of the lodges at Kamuzu Road in Salima District.

According to Public Relations Officer for Salima  Jacob Khembo, the victim  Yosefe Ngozo 33, lodged at Kamuzu road after swindling money from a businessman who agreed with him to buy farm produce.

Khembo said the victim arrived at the lodge on 13th July and spent two days lodging there. Upon being asked for payment, the victim requested for some time before paying back the money in the subsequent days.

However, the victim was found dead near a tap in his room during the midnight of 15th July. Postmortem that was conducted at Salima District Hospital, indicates that the victim died because of consumption of insecticides.

It was reported that the Manager and his co-workers broke the door and entered the room after realising that there was no answer after knocking on the door to the room, they found the victim dead with vomit alongside him.
