Speaking to the Malawi News Agency, Asha Jere Ndala, Secretary of the Masintha Chigwirizano Cha Mayi Group, shared her excitement, stating the launch signifies a spiritual milestone and a deepening of their gospel outreach.
“This is more than just music, it’s a faith journey. We’ve already raised K44 million through other initiatives, and with God’s help, we’ll achieve our goal,” Ndala said.
On the guest of honor, Ndala revealed that the choir is still searching, citing limited access to high-profile personalities, but remained optimistic that someone will come forward.
“We haven’t secured one yet, maybe you at Malawi News Agency, or anyone who’s listening, can help. Whether a politician or not, anyone with goodwill is welcome to be our guest of honour,” she added.
Ndala further extended a heartfelt appeal to churches, individuals, and well-wishers to support the cause, stressing that every donation counts and will push the ministry’s mission even further.
Among the supporters is Chifundo Zingunde, a devoted fan who praised the initiative, calling it a divine mission that blends music, faith, and community transformation through the gospel.
“This choir has transformed lives, helping them is like sowing into God’s vineyard. I encourage others to rally behind them during this impactful launch,” said Zingunde.
The event promises powerful spiritual experiences with performances from Kondwani Chirwa, Masintha Chitsitsimutso, Farai Chazima, Kuunika Women’s Choir, New Israel Choir, and all Masintha CCAP choirs.
