Malawi’s media creative studio, Mikozi, has partnered with Zambia’s Power TV to promote cultural exchange and expanding audience reach between the two countries.

This collaboration seeks to enable the circulation of hit songs, news, and digital content from Zambia to Malawi through Mikozi, while Power TV will promote Malawian content across its broadcasting platforms in Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and Malawi.

Mikozi founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bright Chiligo, popularly known as Ekcess described the partnership as a strategic effort to boost visibility of creatives from both countries.

“We formed the partnership a month or two ago here in Malawi. This collaboration is a way of expanding the audience in the arts and entertainment industry in both Malawi and Zambia,” added Chiligo.

He explained that the two media institutions will engage in joint content creation and distribution to foster a balanced exchange of creative works.

“We will collaborate on content creation and share Zambian content with the Malawian audience, and similarly, distribute Malawian content to the Zambian audience,” according to Chiligo.

In a statement shared on their official Facebook page, Power TV described the collaboration as a major step towards advancing African storytelling.

“This partnership is more than just a content exchange. By aligning the creative energy of Mikozi with the media powerhouse, this alliance stands to redefine what is possible for regional collaboration in digital entertainment,” read the post.

It further stated that the partnership is anchored on four key pillars: content sharing, joint production, strategic collaboration, and integrated cross-border marketing.
