MISA Malawi strengthens leadership with new NGC appointments

Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Malawi Chapter has announced the co-option of two distinguished professionals, Mrs. Lilian Khofi and Mrs. Chikondi Kasambara, into its National Governing Council (NGC).

Through a press statement, MISA Malawi Chairperson Golden Matonga, said the appointments are in line with Article 6.1 (D) of MISA Malawi Constitution, which empowers the NGC to appoint members representing the legal and accountancy sectors.

According to Matonga, Khofi and Kasambara will bring expertise and enthusiasm crucial for institutional governance and implementation of MISA Malawi strategic objectives

“Mrs. Lilian Khofi and Mrs. Chikondi Kasambara bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our National Governing Council. Their contributions will undoubtedly strengthen our institutional governance and contribute significantly to the implementation of MISA Malawi’s strategic objectives,” said Matonga.

Mrs. Khofi assumes the role previously held by Mrs. Wiza Mwenitete Ngoma as the representative of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM), while Mrs. Kasambara succeeds Justice Mandala Mambulasa as the representative of the Malawi Law Society (MLS).

Matonga has however hailed Ngoma and Mambulasa for their valuable contributions made to the body, saying they were part of MISA Malawi’s success

“We sincerely thank Justice Mandala Mambulasa and Mrs. Wiza Mwenitete Ngoma for their indelible contributions to the organization. Their dedication has been integral to MISA Malawi’s success, and their legacy will undoubtedly inspire future endeavors,” said Matonga.
