Missing UNIMA student found dead

University of Malawi’s (UNIMA) Students Representative Council, President, Thanks Eliya has confirmed death of Vincent Nyirenda, a final year Education Chemistry student who went missing Friday last week.

In an interview with Malawi News Agency (Mana) on Monday, Eliya confirmed that Nyirenda was found dead at Chipiloni area in the City of Zomba after some days of missing.

“We were tipped about a body that was discovered at Chipiloni area. When we went there we discovered that it was Nyirenda,” he disclosed.

Went missing since Friday: Nyirenda.

He said the “body of Nyirenda was dismembered either naturally or unnaturally”.

Currently the Police are conducting more investigations in relations to the student’s death.
