As Pentecost International Christian Church (PICC) celebrated 15 years of existence, its Overseer Pastor Esau Banda has cautioned its members against complacency but to rather take it as a time for greater commitment and sacrifice.
He made the call during a Mega Sunday Service marking PICC’s Anniversary at its Headquarters in Lilongwe.
Pastor Banda said the celebration marks 15 years of God’s faithfulness and goodness upon the church throughout all seasons as He has not given the institution as prey to its enemies.
The PICC Senior Pastor hinted that the journey is still too long calling on the faithful to greater commitment and sacrifice in doing God’s work.

“As we celebrate 15 years, I want to remind the saints that the journey is too long as God is calling us to greater sacrifice and greater commitment to win more souls and plant more churches.
“It’s not a time to relax, but to pray more; fast more and give more, sacrifice more as the harvest is truly plentiful but the labourers are few”
He further said Malawi must get ready to experience the mighty move of the Holy Spirit whose citizens are ready to carry his fire to the ends of the world with honesty and truthfulness.
A teacher of the word, Banda expressed gratitude to everyone who has been part of the journey from members and ministry partners for their unwavering support.

During Friday’s Night of Worship, he spoke highly of his wife Pastor Loyce Banda for the prayer warrior she is and standing by him in the 15 years of service which he stated has been an important inspiration.
“Honey, You’re a true partner in life and ministry. I appreciate you for the love and prayers and standing by me in the journey”
Besides other men of God who attended the event who included his Spiritual Father Pastor Mike Chisale, Tourism Minister Vera Kamtukule and Transport Minister Jacob Hara were some of the government officials who graced the Anniversary celebration.
During the Mega Sunday Service, Apostle Chisale sang a special song “Bread of Heavens” and the Heritage Ministry also took time to recite verses, sing songs and conducted a quiz where members were asked questions relating to PICC.

The celebrations kicked off on Friday 7th March with a Worship Night where the Hope Music Ministry led the followers into a night of praise and worship.
On Saturday, PICC members and other well-wishers had a Jesus March from the Kamuzu Mausoleum to the Church Headquarters in Area 49 which was proceeded by a Prayer Rally.
