Prophet nabbed for having sexual intercourse with biological daughter

Police at Makokola in Mangochi District have arrested a 40-year-old Prophet and founder of Supernatural Embassy Ministry identified as Christopher Phiri for having sexual intercourse with his 16-year-old biological daughter.


According to public relations officer for Mangochi Police Station inspector Amina Tepani Daudi  the incident occurred between September to November, 2023, at Kela village under Traditional Authority Mponda in the district.

She said according to police findings, the victim’s parents divorced long time ago when she was only 2-years old .The victim had been staying with her mother until September this year, the suspect requested the victim to be staying with him.

“Earlier in November, rumours started speculating that the victim was being forced to perform wife duties. On November 28, Police were tipped by members of the community about the incident which prompted them to summon the two separately for interrogations” she added.

Daudi further said during the process, it was discovered that the rumours were true after police found nude pictures and pornographic videos of the two in the suspect’s mobile phone.

Upon being quizzed, the victim narrated the ordeal and also revealed that her father forced himself on her several times while being threatened that the suspect would stop paying her school fees.

The victim was issued with a referral letter to Koche Health Centre where the results indicated that she was carnally known.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been charged with having sexual intercourse with a minor which contravenes section 138 of the penal code. He will appear before court after the completion of paperwork.

Phiri hails from Manjawira village, Traditional Authority Phambala in Ntcheu district.
