The solidarity march started at Kaphatenga and proceeded through major streets before converging at the District Council premises, where stakeholders signed a peace pledge reaffirming their commitment to non-violence during the election period.
Minister of Local Government Unity and Culture, Richard Chimwendo Banda has called on local councils in the country to put revenue generated from markets to good use by fixing basic amenities so that market premises should be hygienically improved.
