Matekenya who is currently working on his debut album told us in an interview that financial woes are obstructing him from advancing with his music career

According to Matekenya, having financial support and a Manager will help him to complete his album Mudzawafuna which carries music focused on advising the young generation and families who are going through many situations that are contributing to the cases of suicide and marital challenges in the country.

“My vision is to reach many people with my songs. But I am facing financial challenges. If there can be any wellwishers to support my career, they are welcome,” said Matekenya

Matekenya has recently featured one of the country’s renowned gospel heavyweights Evance Meleka in one of his singles titled Mudzawafuna.

“I feel honored to have featured Evance Meleka in one of my songs. I am extremely grateful to all Malawians who love my music and work,” he explained.

Mudzawafuna album has 11 songs which include; Chikondi, Dziko, Mabanja Alero, Ten Commandments, Ma jealous, Wedding Day, and Pajoweni among others.
