Idana dumps Bullets

Confirming the development through a statement, Bullets says Idana has left the 2022 Tnm Super League and FDH Cup champions at a mutual concert after failing to agree on a contract extension.

“Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm that Chimwemwe Idana has left the club with immediate effect after failing to agree on contract extension terms. His current deal ends on 21 February 2023,” reads part of the statement.

Idana who was promoted from Nyasa Big Bullets reserves during the 2018/19 season won two Charity Shields, four TNM Super League titles, the Airtel Top 8 Cup, and the FDH Bank Cup and he was Player of the Season in the 2020/21 campaign.

Idana has become the second senior player to quit the Peoples team after forward Hassan Kajoke signed for Silver Strikers last week.
